Arizona

We went to Arizona on a family vacation and it went great! The girls really did well on the plane. Makenna slept most of the way both ways. Cadence was a little ansy but did really well for being two. The cousins had a blast and really loved having each other around! It was a lot of fun and we enjoyed the sunshine. It is a joy to be around Ryan's sisters' family. They are truely a wonderful, Christian family.

Just Makenna at 6 months! She likes to rolling from tummy to back and is trying desperatly to get her knees up under her!!

And Things...

We have been doing a lot ....of being snowed in down here.

It has been a really snowy winter!! We are excited for spring and all the outside time we will get!! Zoo, parks, sprinker time, planting flowers -- oh my we are excited. Maybe it is mostly the adults who are getting kind of tired of being inside. :) Someone I know said that since winter gets darker sooner and that slows us down and gets us to stay inside and spend time with family and friends. I like that take on winter time. As you can tell my the picture - Cadence is quite funny and very energetic these days. Very into singing and dancing!! Makenna is starting to sit up by herself for short periods of time and is rolling over and around. Life is about to get a little faster paced!!!

Pumpkin Patch

These pictures are from our day trip to the pumpkin patch. It was so much fun to watch Cadence enjoy the little games they had set up and she loved to look at the animals they have. She is really starting to be aware of all the things around her. Makenna has rolled from back to front already and I feel like she is hitting milestones too soon!! Notice my long hair in the picture above - I was going to blog about my stupid new hair cut (8-12 inches off depending on the layer you measure) but I decided that would be really vain and besides no one really cares about my hair issues. I just have to remember that the reason I had to cut it. Which was that I don't have the time to do it to make the long hair look good -- so we will just have to get used to the short hair. Anyways, I will have to get up new pictures of Cadence's cast - yes, another one. She has a hot pink one this time. She has yet to hit anyone with it and is doing well. She will be getting it off the Monday after Thanksgiving and so we are pleased that it will only be on about 3 weeks.
